2020 update

This year we must cancel our opening weekend. However several new plaques have been created and will be installed in June. You may take a self guided tour with the help of our booklet available at Thompson store. Some art studios may open  on weekends later this summer. Stay safe hope to see you soon.

Studios will close officially for the season August 31,

August 31 there will be a huge community sale in town so visit then for fun and special finds.
You may still find some studios open in September but otherwise we will welcome you again in June 2020.

Special Event August 10 th

Join us for lunch on Mill Street,enjoy live music,art  studios and crafts on Nancy Lane.
  At 11am   there will be a guided tour of newly installed history plaques . A warm welcome to everyone awaits you, in the beautiful town of Portage du fort, Quebec.

Special Events June 1 and 2 Opening weekend

Our Historical town will unveil their newly installed history plaques on Saturday at 10.30 am, and Sunday at 1pm.
 A walking tour will leave from St James Church in Church St .lunch will be available,and there will be a chance to silently bid on a fabulous art collection at the hall.
In addition there will be many exciting and interesting events all around the town Presentations by local authors,Ont hydro, and the town council.
History displays of logging,boat building and old photos of the town and it's people.
Local artists will display and demonstrate their work at studios on Nancy Lane. In additon the Stone school gallery will have family fun day on Sunday.
We invite you  and your family and friends to come and celebrate history in our beautiful riverside town.

Wonderful weekend

Our history tour was a great success.many visitors stayed for lunch and donated towards out proposed plaques.  We hope to have many installed for next June's opening. This year our studios are open most weekends  until faĺl.

There will be another Historical walking tour of beautiful Portage du Fort. Please meet at the Lady Head monument beside the river at 11AM .Everyone is welcome .

 Join us after for lunch and live music 11am until 3pm at 16 Mill street.

 Don't forget to visit our open art studios and craft galleries on Nancy lane as well as other galleries as marked on our map.

We invite everyone to join us for a strawberry shortcake lunch 11am until 3pm at 29 Mill street, Portage du Fort. Donations for a Kenyan orphanage.Lots of art,crafts and more on Nancy lane to complete a wonderful day in the Pontiac.

2018 Season opens in June with a family fun day in Portage du Fort

June 9 our studios located on Nancy lane invite everyone to come and paint woodern fish.
There will also be a history  tour meeting  at 11am by the river at the Lady head monument. We do hope you will come and spend the day . There will be a BBQ and others events in town as well as lots of exciting  new art work to enjoy.
